Singapore:
Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is an island country off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator, in the Southeast Asian region of the Asian continent. It is separated from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to its north, and from Indonesia's Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to its south. Singapore is the world's fourth leading financial centre and a cosmopolitan world city, playing a key role in international trade and finance. The port of Singapore is also amongst the top five busiest ports in the world. Singapore is an immigrant country with a long history of immigration.
It has a diverse population of close to 5 million people made up of Chinese, Malays, Indians, Asians of various descents and Caucasians. 42% of the population in Singapore are foreigners and foreigners make up 50% of the service sector in Singapore. The country is the second most densely populated in the world after Monaco. A.T. Kearney names Singapore as the most globalised country in the world in its Globalization Index.

Prior to independence in 1965, Singapore was a vibrant trading port with a GDP per capita of $511, the third highest in East Asia. After independence, foreign direct investment and a state-led drive for industrialization based on plans by former Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Goh Keng Swee created a modern economy.The Economist Intelligence Unit in its "Quality-Of-Life Index" ranks Singapore as having the best quality of life in Asia and eleventh overall in the world. Singapore possesses the world's ninth largest foreign reserves. The country also maintains an armed forces that is technologically advanced and well-equipped. After a contraction of -6.8% in 4Q2009, Singapore claimed the title of fastest-growing economy in the world, with GDP growth of 17.9% in the first half of 2010.

3 Nights / 4 Days Sights and Sounds of Singapore
DAY 1: Arrival Singapore
Begin your journey upon arrival in Singapore, where you will transfer and check-in to your Hotel. In the evening, proceed for an exciting Night Safari Adventure. This 40-hectare park comes alive after dark, with over 1200 animals engaging in their fascinating and intriguing nightly rituals. After this fascinating experience you are sure to sleep peacefully as you spend the night in your comfy Hotel room.

DAY 2: Singapore City Tour and Sentosa Island with Underwater World
After breakfast at the Hotel, experience the fascinating and exciting heart of uniquely Singapore as you depart for a half-day tour of the city. Contrast the old and the new icons of Singapore by passing through the colonial district and captivate yourself with the alluring view of Singapore’s famous tourism icon, the half lion half fish statue, the Merlion. See the world’s largest fountain with a base area of 1,683 square metres – the “Fountain of Wealth”. Visit ancient temples and admire the best of Asian craftsmanship as you visit Little India, Chinatown, and Gem Factory. Get a bird’s eye view of the city and be awed by 52 hectares of greenery in the heart of town at the famed Singapore Botanic Gardens. In the afternoon, visit Sentosa Island including a trip to Underwater World, home to more than 2,500 fishes from 250 different species. After a long and adventurous day, spend a peaceful nights’ sleep at the Hotel.

DAY 3: Jurong Bird Park and Shopping
Enjoy breakfast at the Hotel before heading out to visit the famous Jurong Bird Park, home to over 9,000 birds from more than 600 species. There is plenty to do and see here: Take a ride on the air conditioned Panorail for a panoramic view of the Park and into a tropical world of jungle mist at the Waterfall Aviary. Afterward, enjoy a spectacular show where you will meet all the stars of the park – Snowy the Swan, Crazy Bird, Toukie the Toucan and many more. The evening is free for shopping and other leisure activities. At night, return to your Hotel for a restful nights’ sleep.

DAY 4: Departure from Singapore
Start the day with a tasty breakfast before checking out of your Hotel. You will then have the full day to go for last minute shopping and see the many sights and sounds of Singapore on your own time. In the evening you will be transferred back to the airport for your return home with lots of wonderful memories and stories to share once you get back.
